Specialist-Led Summer Support
A Thoughtfully Designed Summer Literacy Intensive
Bridge Literacy New Mexico is a five-week small-group summer program for rising elementary students in Albuquerque who benefit from structured support in foundational reading and spelling skills, including students with dyslexia. Instruction is led by credentialed literacy specialists and guided by thoughtful placement, responsive teaching, and ongoing attention to student growth.
The Vision Behind Bridge Literacy NM
Bridge Literacy NM was co-founded in 2022 by Erin Brown and Dr. Nicole Florez, two trusted New Mexico literacy specialists with deep experience supporting students with dyslexia and foundational reading challenges.
They shared a belief that families should have greater access to high-quality summer instruction led by specialists who understand how reading skills develop and where students often need targeted support.
For many students, especially those who benefit from continued growth in reading and spelling, summer can be an especially valuable time to maintain momentum, strengthen core skills, and bridge the transition between school years.
Bridge Literacy was created to meet that need through thoughtful small-group instruction that helps students return to school stronger, more confident, and ready to grow.
Specialist-Led
Instruction is provided by credentialed literacy professionals with expertise in dyslexia, reading development, and structured support.
Small Groups
Limited group size allows teaching to remain focused, responsive, and appropriately paced for student needs.
Guided Fit
Brief screening helps guide group placement and identify priorities so instruction begins with purpose.
